Never fully escaping the Math/Science track he fell into at Benowa, Keith went on to Brisbane where he got a BSc at Griffith University. With this he worked at a government lab for the DPI as a protein chemist, after a couple of years he returned to student-life and eventually got a PhD in biochemistry. Left Australia in 1998 to work in the USA for four years. Since 2002 he has been working in melanoma research in Switzerland (more info).

Was married for a few years during the 1990s, but is now sharing his life with a wonderful Finnish girl he met while in the US (homepage).
