Haskell Solutions to the Language Session Problems at the 1988 Salishan High-Speed Computing Conference

Authors:

Paul Hudak and Steve Anderson

Abstract:

In 1988 the Department of Energy held a workshop to explore programming language issues in the development of HPC applications.  In advance, researchers were given a set of parallel programming problems and invited to submit papers with solutions to these problems written in their favorite language.  This paper describes Haskell solutions to these problems, a language which, at the time, was in its infancy.  The collection of papers was eventually published as a book in 1992.
